Ever seen a DJ set in a moving rickshaw? I took my console, grabbed my auto-wala, and turned Mumbai's streets into a global dancefloor. This is that vibe.
This is the story of how my unhinged idea to DJ from a moving auto-rickshaw in Mumbai actually happened. I break down the whole chaotic process, from getting stopped by the cops to picking tracks that everyone from my auto-wala to you could vibe with.
The classic ‘Kaanta Laga’ is an absolute banger, but I wanted to give it a fresh club-friendly remix. I chopped it up and layered it over a dirty bounce track, and this is the result. It goes so hard in my sets.

DJing in a moving auto-rickshaw is not just a stunt, it is an extreme sport. Between the speed bumps shifting my BPM faders and the unpredictable Mumbai traffic, I had to be on my toes, constantly adjusting the mix to keep the groove alive.
My goal with the Rickshaw Sessions was to create something that everyone, from my auto-wala Shibu to the global diaspora, could relate to. It was about taking those hidden Bollywood gems I grew up on and twisting them into drum n bass or jersey club bangers.
I partnered with the team at Gently Altered to capture this. We wanted a mix that felt like home but sounded like a club. The biggest challenge was the real-world chaos. I was on the way to a gig, console on my lap, dodging traffic. The generator was running, the auto was bouncing, and we were essentially chasing the perfect take in real-time.
This cluster is a showcase of how I build a setlist. Whether I am mixing a Seedhe Maut track or blending 'Laung Gawacha' with 'One Spliff a Day', I am always looking for that sweet spot where nostalgia meets global club energy.
