We believe living areas should be dynamic, open, and connected to their surroundings. Experience designs where the boundary between inside and out dissolves, creating a continuous flow of space and light.

The living spaces in our Moira Homes project are designed to merge seamlessly with the outdoor pool decks. This creates a dynamic and flowing feel, where the home slopes and integrates with the natural contours of the landscape.

The sunken living area in the House of Basho is a core feature, designed to connect inhabitants to the ground and the outdoors. This architectural choice fosters a relaxed, communal atmosphere, perfect for the home's "slow living" ethos.

For Apartment 56, we designed the living area as a free-flowing gallery space. We integrated existing structural columns by transforming them into fluid, sculptural divisions that enhance the open plan rather than obstructing it.

The House of Veils looks inward, creating its own world through internal courtyards. The entrance foyer opens into this expansive living area, where light filters through screens and curved walls guide the eye, unveiling the social spaces progressively.

In our Kolgaon project, the double-height living space is defined by a feature brick wall that continues from the exterior. This emphasizes the connection between architecture and interiors, creating a cohesive material narrative.

This living area in our Pavilions in the Fields project is centered around an internal courtyard and staircase. The design uses warm textures and minimal furniture to keep the focus on the expansive views of the surrounding paddy fields.

The Sanctuary, a wellness pavilion in Hyderabad, features this open-plan living space designed around a central tree. The use of structural timber and floor-to-ceiling glass creates the feeling of an urban oasis, blending the comfort of the indoors with the serenity of nature.

With expansive views of the sea, the living spaces in our Dona Paula masterplan are designed to be light and open. We used minimal interiors and large glass openings to ensure the focus remains on the stunning natural surroundings.

The living area for the vertical villa in 'The Nest' is organized around a double-height courtyard. This brings natural light deep into the home and creates a sense of spaciousness and connection to the outdoors, even within a multi-story building.

A walk through the House of Basho, a retreat home designed for calm and slow living. The video shows how the spaces flow together, from the sunken living area to the dining space, all unified by an earthy charm and connection to the outdoors.

About Seamless Living Spaces

Our approach to seamless living starts by re-evaluating the physical structure of your floor plate. In projects like the House of Basho, we carved out sunken living areas and integrated custom screen walls to soften transitions, effectively blurring the distinction between your interior lounge and the natural landscape beyond. This process is not about simply placing furniture, but about engineering the architecture to invite light, air, and the outdoors into the center of your home.

Architecture as a Narrative

We view living spaces as stories that unfold. True seamlessness is achieved when the architecture, interior, and landscape function as a single organism rather than separate layers.

The Tropical Modernist Approach

Our design philosophy is rooted in tropical modernism. We utilize passive cooling techniques and structural interventions to ensure your home breathes. This involves:

  • Fluid Spatial Divisions: Rather than rigid walls, we use sculptural elements and changes in floor levels, such as sunken seating areas, to define zones without obstructing the flow of light.
  • Material Continuity: We extend exterior materials like brick, concrete, or stone into the interior, creating a visual bridge that tricks the eye into seeing a single, expansive environment.
  • Custom Screen Walls: We design perforated screens that regulate sunlight and airflow while providing privacy, allowing for an open-plan layout that remains protected from the elements.

Designing for Connection

Whether working within the density of a Mumbai apartment or the sprawling grounds of a Goa villa, our focus remains on connection. We use custom joinery to integrate storage into the walls, keeping surfaces clean and minimal. Large-span glazing and structural adjustments ensure that your primary living area feels like an extension of the garden, courtyard, or terrace.

Our Process

We guide you from the initial narrative storyboarding through to the final GFC (Good for Construction) drawings. By using parametric scripts to develop complex forms, we ensure every curve and screen is executed with precision, resulting in a space that feels both engineered and organic.
