Grand Living and Dining Spaces for Modern Homes
I design living and dining areas as the heart of your home, balancing natural light with intimate, layered interiors that invite connection.
The double-height living room at Plumeria House is anchored by a massive, hand-painted work of art. The neutral furniture and abundant natural light create an expansive yet inviting atmosphere perfect for hosting or unwinding.
In the 'House Retold' project, the formal living room opens dramatically to the garden. The layout features multiple seating areas with plush sofas and bold blue accent chairs, creating a versatile space for conversation.
This clip shows the seamless flow of the 'House Retold' living area, where sculptural coffee tables and a modern chandelier complement the expansive garden views, creating a refined indoor-outdoor experience.
This conceptual design for a young couple's home features a playful mix of mid-century modern furniture, including a checkered coffee table and bold red chairs, all unified by large arched windows and a statement light fixture.
This dining area concept is designed to be immersive and luxurious. A sculptural light fixture hangs over a striking dining table, while a richly textured carpet and bold artwork create a dramatic, moody atmosphere for entertaining.
For this formal living room, I blended modern and classic styles. A stunning black-and-gold mosaic wall with ginkgo leaves serves as a dramatic backdrop for sleek, contemporary furniture and an ornate chandelier.
This family lounge concept uses neoclassical wall mouldings and a coffered ceiling to add timeless elegance. The neutral sofas are accented by a bold piece of art, creating a space that feels both sophisticated and comfortable.
In 'The Green Axis' office, a linear corridor doubles as a contemplative lounge space. The design is intentionally minimal, with a wooden ceiling and glass walls that frame views of the courtyard, promoting a sense of calm and focus.
A view from the corridor into the living room of 'House Retold', showcasing how I use doorways to frame spaces. The polished marble floor reflects the natural light, leading the eye towards the bright, inviting living area.

About Grand Living & Dining Spaces
I treat the ceiling as the fifth wall, using it to define the room's character. By incorporating architectural coves and shadow grooves, I ensure the lighting enhances the atmosphere rather than simply brightening the area, creating a space that feels calm and intentional.
I believe a living room must do more than look good. It needs to hold a conversation between the architecture and the people living there. For projects like the House Retold, the goal was to dissolve the boundary between the formal living area and the garden. By using floor-to-ceiling glass and continuous stone flooring, I draw the outdoors into the home, making the living space feel expansive and light.
My design process focuses on layers. A living room should feel complete, not empty. This means selecting natural materials like Italian marble or warm wood veneers that ground the space. I often use feature walls with neoclassical mouldings or geometric panelling to add depth, while keeping the furniture silhouettes clean and contemporary.
Lighting is the final, vital layer. I avoid flat, uniform brightness. Instead, I use magnetic track systems, anti-glare downlights, and statement chandeliers to create pools of light that emphasize texture and form. Whether you are hosting a formal gathering or spending a quiet evening, the environment should adapt to the moment. If you are starting a renovation, we should talk about how to align your lifestyle with the layout.
SSDA
I view every home as a story, not just a series of rooms. My work is about creating a dialogue between the architecture and your life, ensuring the space feels like a natural extension of who you are.
