Pre-Procedure Assessment
- Skin Analysis: Visual assessment by the dermatologist to select the appropriate peeling agent (Salicylic for active acne, Glycolic for marks, or Retinol for texture).
- Sensitivity Test: A patch test on the jawline if it is the client's first visit.
Procedure Steps
- Medical Cleansing: Double cleanse to remove all traces of oil, sunscreen, and pollutants.
- Comedone Extraction: Manual, hygienic removal of blackheads and whiteheads using a sterilized comedone extractor.
- Chemical Exfoliation: Application of the selected medical-grade chemical peel solution.
- Neutralization: Application of a neutralizing buffer to stop the acid reaction.
Post-Procedure Care
- Soothing & Protection: Application of a calming post-peel balm or cold compress.

- Consultation Note: Verbal guidance on post-peel care.
Laser Toning & Pigmentation Correction (Spectra/Carbon)
Preparation
- Deep Cleanse: Thorough removal of makeup and oils.
- Carbon Application (If Carbon Peel selected): Application of a thin layer of liquid carbon paste which penetrates the pores.
- Eye Protection: Medical-grade laser safety goggles for the patient.
Laser Procedure
- Laser Toning (Spectra): 1064nm wavelength laser passes over the full face to target melanin deposits in the dermis.
- Spectra Peel Mode (If Carbon): 1064nm long-pulse mode to heat the carbon, followed by Q-switched mode to blast the carbon particles and exfoliate the skin.
- Golden Toning (Optional): 532nm pass for specific red acne marks or superficial pigment.
Aftercare
- Cooling: Cold air cooling or ice pack application if the skin feels warm.
- Finish: Application of a restorative moisturizer and broad-spectrum sunscreen.
Advanced Acne Scar Resurfacing (Laser/MNRF + Subcision)
Anesthesia & Prep
- Topical Numbing: Application of a strong anesthetic cream for 45 to 60 minutes to ensure patient comfort.
- Scar Mapping: The dermatologist marks the specific deep scars (rolling/boxcar) that require manual intervention.
The Procedure
- Subcision: Manual release of fibrous tethered bands beneath the scar tissue using a Nokor needle or cannula.
- Skin Resurfacing (Device Dependent):
- Option A (Fractional CO2): Laser ablation creating micro-channels to resurface texture and superficial scarring.
- Option B (MNRF): Microneedling with Radiofrequency to target deeper dermis and tighten skin.
Post-Treatment Recovery
- Cooling: Cryo-cooling to settle immediate inflammation.
- Post-Procedure Kit: Application of antibiotic ointment and specific instruction on crust management.
Surgical Skin Growth Removal (Mole/Keloid/DPN)
Assessment & Anesthesia
- Dermoscopy: Examination of the growth to confirm it is benign before removal.
- Local Anesthesia: Injection of Lignocaine around the growth or strong numbing cream depending on the depth of the lesion.
Removal Technique (Case Dependent)
- Radiofrequency (RF) Cautery: Burning off skin tags, DPNs, or warts using an electric probe.
- Surgical Excision: For deep moles or keloids, cutting out the growth from the root.
- Suturing (If Excision): Fine, aesthetic sutures used to close the wound for a thin, barely visible scar line.
Post-Surgical Care
- Dressing: Application of sterile dressing and antibiotic powder/cream.
- Follow-up: Includes one follow-up visit for suture removal (if stitches were placed).
About Medical Dermatology
I see skin problems as real life stories, not just medical conditions. At Skinmatics, I work with you to figure out what’s actually going on—no quick-fix hacks, only evidence-based care that fits your skin’s needs.
Acne and Breakouts
Acne isn’t just about looks—it messes with your confidence. I don’t believe in those random home remedies (seriously, toothpaste isn’t a cure). I always start with a proper check to see if it’s hormonal, stress, or lifestyle. Treatments might include prescription retinoids, and for stubborn spots, options like salicylic acid peels or carbon peels.
Acne Scars and Texture
Once acne’s under control, scars can be annoying. No single fix works for everyone. I use tools like fractional CO2 laser and MNRF for acne scar laser treatment, sometimes pairing with PRP for faster healing. Deeper scars might need a combo of laser plus subcision to get real improvement.
Pigmentation and Uneven Skin
Pigmentation—sun, melasma, leftover marks—can be super stubborn. Scrubbing or trying nimbu (lemon) at home just makes things worse. I rely on pigmentation laser therapy like Spectra laser toning, plus sunscreen is a must in any plan. We even offer unique treatments for post-infection marks like after Chikungunya.
Skin Growths and Scars
Unwanted moles, skin tags, or keloids? I use safe, minimally invasive methods for removal. Everything is about safety and getting the best cosmetic results—whether it’s keloid removal procedure or fixing scars from injuries or surgeries.
No drama, just honest, science-backed skin care that works for you.

We dig deep, figure out what’s really going on. It’s about trust, comfort, and seeing you walk out with your confidence back. Your skin, your story.
