About Female Athlete Leadership: Celebrating Our Graduates
Our graduation isn't just a ceremony; it is the result of a year-long curriculum where athletes moved beyond the field to master financial literacy, career planning, and menstrual health. What you see in these images is the final presentation of projects where these young women articulated their own growth, proving that when you equip an athlete with the right tools, they do not just win medals—they lead their families and villages forward.
Bridging the Gap Beyond the Medal
For many grassroots athletes, the training stops at the edge of the field. We started the Female Athlete Leadership Programme because we saw too many talented girls drop out due to a lack of guidance on health, finances, or career transitions. This graduation represents a year of hard work, where 16 athletes underwent training that transformed their perspective on what is possible.
What Our Graduates Mastered
The curriculum goes deep into life skills that sports training often misses. Our graduates worked on:
- Financial Literacy: Moving from basic banking to understanding savings and loan management.
- Health & Hygiene: Open conversations on menstrual health and puberty, breaking deep-seated stigmas that often keep girls away from sports.
- Career Readiness: Mapping a future beyond playing, including corporate entry and leadership roles.
- Public Speaking: Giving them the confidence to share their 'Untold Stories' with their communities.
A Community Effort
Success for us is not a solo achievement. In these images, you will see parents, mentors, and the Simply Sport team celebrating. When a family sees their daughter present a project on financial independence, the entire perception of a 'girl athlete' shifts. We are grateful for our partnership with RDT Anantapur and support from Generalitat Valenciana, which allows us to scale this impact. These graduates are now equipped to be role models, mentors, and leaders in their villages.
