Behind the Scenes: How I Craft Your Custom Cupcakes
Ever wonder how your favorite cupcakes go from an idea to reality? Come behind the scenes to see how I pipe, sculpt, and bake magic in my Malleshwaram kitchen.
This is how I make my tiny, hand-sculpted fondant roses. I shape each petal individually before assembling them to create a realistic and delicate flower for cake and cupcake decorations.

This was a huge and exciting order of 100 Red Velvet cupcakes for a retirement party. Here you can see me piping different two-toned designs on the whole batch.
I made these "Thank You" cupcakes as party favors. This video shows me placing the final edible message discs on top of the colorful buttercream swirls.

About Behind the Scenes: My Baking Process
I treat every cupcake as a tiny canvas, whether I am hand-sculpting fondant petals or piping soft buttercream rosettes. Every swirl and character you see is made by hand in my own kitchen, ensuring that no two batches are ever quite the same. Since I bake everything fresh to order, I have the freedom to focus on the small, personal details that make your celebrations feel genuinely special.
When you order a batch, you aren't just getting dessert. You are seeing a process that starts days before the event. For my buttercream designs, I focus on temperature control and consistency to get those perfect, petal-like rosettes. For themed work, it is all about the fondant art. I hand-mold icons, paint tiny faces, and emboss names to make sure the topping matches the story you want to tell.
My Process
- Buttercream Mastery: I use American Buttercream or Whipped Ganache to create high-domed swirls. It takes practice to get the tension right for consistent rosettes across a batch of 50 or 100.
- Fondant Sculpting: I treat fondant like clay. Whether it is a tiny cricket bat or a chibi character, I shape these by hand, often layering colors or using edible paints to get the shading just right.
- Freshness First: I bake in small batches. This means I can ensure the Red Velvet is moist and the Vanilla is perfectly light. Because I don't use mass-production methods, I can handle requests for anything from a 6-piece box to a 300-cupcake event for a retirement party.
If you have a theme in mind, I need about a week to plan the design and source my colors. I don't believe in realistic 3D human faces—I prefer the cute, cartoonish style that brings a smile to your face. If you are in Bengaluru, send me a message and let's figure out the design that works for your event.
