I don't use standard controllers because I hate technical hiccups. My current setup features the Denon DJ Prime 4+, which analyzes tracks on the fly so there is never a dead second on the dance floor. Whether you are booking my house party package or a full production for 100 plus guests, I bring equipment that keeps the music flowing without any awkward stops.
When you hire a DJ, you are hiring the sound system too. A great playlist means nothing if the speakers crackle or the controller freezes. I treat my equipment like my partner in crime, and if it does not meet pro standards, I am not bringing it to your event.
For house parties in Bangalore, I do not just show up with a laptop. I bring active top speakers and a sub that actually thumps, ensuring you get that club-quality bass even in your living room. For larger corporate events or terrace parties, I scale up to full AV production with reinforced audio and light rigs that turn a standard space into a venue.
I am a bit of a gear junkie because it changes how the party feels. Using the Prime 4+ means I can handle requests instantly without waiting for tracks to load or sync, keeping the transition between Bollywood, Hip Hop, and Afro beats seamless.
A few technical notes:
- If your venue already has a sound system, I am happy to plug into their PA, provided the cables are XLR or RCA compatible.
- For my own hardware packages, I only need a standard power outlet to get started.
- Setup times vary. I arrive 30 to 90 minutes early depending on the equipment scale to run a full sound check, so there is no last-minute fumbling when the guests arrive.
