About Behind the Decks
I don't just show up and hit play. I use the Denon DJ Prime 4+ to analyze tracks on the fly, which means no awkward gaps and smooth transitions between Bollywood, Hip Hop, and Afro beats. It’s all about keeping the energy locked in so the dance floor never dies.
Great sound is not an accident. It comes from having the right tech and knowing how to use it when the room starts to fill up. Whether I am playing at a packed club like FLO or an intimate house party in Indiranagar, I make sure the bass hits and the vocals are crystal clear.
My Gear and Setup
I do not leave sound quality to chance. My primary rig is the Denon DJ Prime 4+ standalone controller. It lets me handle high-energy beat-matching without needing a laptop, so I can focus entirely on reading the room. For larger gigs, I bring reinforced audio setups, including active top speakers and subwoofers, to ensure the low end is felt throughout the venue.
The Workflow
- No Dead Air: I keep the music moving from the first track to the last, keeping the tempo consistent for a club-style flow.
- Open Format: My style blends genres naturally. If we start with deep house and switch to Bollywood or Hip Hop, the transition feels like it belongs.
- Setup: For every event, I arrive at least 30 to 45 minutes early. That time is for a full connectivity check and sound tuning. I handle the cable management too, so the setup looks as clean as it sounds.
