Your mehndi should be as unique as your love story. I incorporate your personal milestones, couple portraits, and special symbols directly into your henna design.

This custom design for a mom to be celebrates her journey to motherhood. It includes a portrait of the couple, the words 'Mom to be' and 'Dad to be', and even a little baby in a stroller.

A special design for the Karwa Chauth festival. This client wanted to include a scene of the moon sighting ritual, which I drew on one palm, with 'Happy Karwa Chauth' written on the other.

A close up of a groom portrait on the bride's hand. Capturing likenesses in henna is a special skill that makes any bridal design truly one of a kind. I teach the fundamentals of portraiture in my advanced workshops.

This video shows the process of creating a bridal figure, from the initial outline to the final shaded and detailed portrait. It's a great example of how a simple sketch transforms into a piece of art.

The back of the hands can tell a story too. This design features two figures in a decorative frame, surrounded by floral patterns. It's a beautiful way to add a personal touch.

I was honored to create this piece for a client's 25th wedding anniversary. We included the text '25 Sparkling Years' in a special band on her arm, surrounded by celebratory elephant motifs.

Another sweet design for a baby shower. This one features tiny baby footprints in the center of one palm and a 'Mattu to be' design on the other, surrounded by delicate floral mandalas.

This engagement design includes the couple's initials 'A' and 'N' in a decorative diamond shape on the arm. It's a subtle but meaningful way to personalize your henna.

This bridal arm band features a bride being carried in a palanquin, or doli. This is a very traditional and emotional scene from Indian weddings, and I love capturing it in henna.

A themed arm band design for a bride who is a classical dancer. The central motif is a pair of ghungroos, or ankle bells, inside a decorative circle, showing her passion for dance.

About Personalized Storytelling Mehndi

When you choose a storytelling design, we are doing more than just applying henna. Because portraiture and custom architectural motifs require high precision, I typically need your reference photos and layout ideas at least 10 days before your event. This allows me to sketch the composition and ensure the figures sit perfectly on your forearm or palm before we start the application.
