About High-Quality Candle Waxes
Getting the right wax consistency makes all the difference in your final product. I always recommend starting with SKC SOY-999 for your container candles to ensure smooth adhesion and great scent throw, while switching to our SKC SOY-888 specifically for pillar candles that need to hold their shape after demolding.
Choosing the right wax is the foundation of your candle business. Many beginners struggle with tunneling, poor scent throw, or wax pulling away from the glass. These issues usually stem from using the wrong type of wax for your specific project.
Why we use specific grades:
- SKC SOY-999: This is our go-to for container candles. It is designed for glass adhesion, meaning you won't get those unsightly wet spots on the sides of your jars. It melts evenly and holds fragrance oils well, giving you a clean, long-lasting burn.
- SKC SOY-888 (P): Pillar candles are a different game. They need a harder structure to withstand the heat and to be removed from silicone molds without breaking. This specific blend provides that structural integrity.
Common Wax Questions:
- Can I use the same wax for everything? Generally, no. A container wax that is too soft will slump in a pillar mold, and a pillar wax that is too hard will crack in a glass jar.
- What about paraffin or gel? We stock these for crafters who want to experiment with different textures or transparency. Gel wax is fantastic for decorative embeds, while paraffin remains a cost-effective option for bulk production.
- How do I order? We keep our ordering process simple. Whether you need a small batch for a hobby project or bulk supplies for your business, we handle orders of all sizes with no minimum requirements. We are based in Khari Baoli, Old Delhi, and ship across India to support your growth.
