About Elegant Bridal Feet
Getting your bridal feet done requires patience, and I want you to be completely comfortable while I work. A full bridal design for your feet takes about 4 to 5 hours, so I recommend setting up in a spot where you can relax, maybe watch a movie, or just rest while I apply the henna. My goal is to ensure the symmetry is perfect and the design flows well with your walk, so take some time to settle in before we start.
Your feet deserve as much attention as your hands on your wedding day. I focus on creating designs that balance intricate detail with a clean finish. Whether you love the classic look of peacocks and royal architecture or prefer modern, minimal patterns, I ensure the henna complements your bridal footwear.
My Approach to Bridal Feet
- Traditional Roots: I love using signature motifs like the 'Jharokha' (palace windows), lotus flowers, and graceful peacocks. These designs are dense and rich, perfect for traditional Maharashtrian or North Indian weddings.
- Modern & Minimal: For the modern bride, I offer cleaner designs using negative space and geometric jaal (checks). This style looks sophisticated against bridal heels or anklets.
- Coordinated Art: If you want your hands and feet to match, I can create a seamless flow between the designs. This is a popular choice for brides who want a cohesive look in their wedding photographs.
Getting the Best Stain
I use fresh, triple-sifted organic henna mixed with eucalyptus and clove oils. Once I am done, I apply a lemon-sugar sealant to keep the paste intact. For the deepest color, I always tell my brides to try traditional methods like 'lavangachi dhuri' (clove fumes) once the henna is dry and flaked off. Remember to avoid water for the first 12 hours. I am based in Mumbai and travel to Thane, Mulund, and surrounding areas to bring this art to your doorstep.
