About Celebrity & Editorial Work
Whether you are filming in a studio or on a location like Baku, the makeup needs to handle changing lighting and long hours without shifting. I focus on skin prep and specific setting techniques that keep the base fresh under hot studio lights, ensuring you don't need a constant retouch before every take.
Editorial and celebrity work is all about longevity under pressure. Whether we are shooting in the cold, windy outdoors or under the intense, heat-generating lights of a Mumbai studio, the base needs to remain flawless. I use a combination of high-end skin prep—mostly Clinique or Embryolisse—to ensure the skin stays hydrated, followed by a targeted HD foundation mix that won't separate or cake.
My role goes beyond applying makeup. When you are on set, you need someone who understands framing and lighting angles. I stay close to the monitors, ready to swoop in for a 'fatafat' (quick) touch-up the moment a director calls for a change or notices a stray hair. I have worked with diverse talent, including male grooming and high-fashion editorial looks, so I know how to adapt the texture and finish depending on the camera lens and the mood of the shoot.
