Director's Haircut & Signature Styling
Consultation & Prep
- Vibe Check: 10 to 15 minute discussion on texture, face shape, and desired aesthetic.
- Refreshments: Complimentary cappuccino, iced coffee, or infused water.
The Wash
- Double Cleanse: Two rounds of shampooing using sulphate free, color safe professional ranges like Davines or Kevin Murphy.
- Conditioning: Hydrating conditioner application with a 2 minute scalp massage.
- Hygiene: Fresh sanitized neck strip, premium salon cape, and disposable eco towels.
The Cut
- Structural Wet Cut: Establishing baseline shape (Bob, Lob, or U shape) on damp hair.
- Dry Texturizing: Point cutting and slicing techniques to create movement, wolf cuts, or face framing layers.
Styling & Finish
- Blow Dry: Professional blowout using ionic dryers to reduce frizz.
- Signature Waves: Tonging with hot tools to create loose, lived in beach waves.
- Product Finish: Application of heat protectant, texturizing dust for volume, and Argan oil serum.
Curly Hair Specialist Cut & Diffuse Drying
Assessment
- Pattern Analysis: Evaluation of curl type (2A to 4C) and shrinkage factor.
- Routine Check: Brief audit of current home care products for CGM compliance.
CGM Friendly Wash
- Gentle Cleanse: Use of co wash or low poo cleanser to retain natural oils.
- Conditioning: Heavy application of deep conditioner using the squish to condish technique.
- Detangling: Done exclusively with wide tooth combs while wet.
The Cut
- Technical Cut: Dry cut or zero tension wet cut to ensure shape holds accurately after shrinkage.
Definition & Drying
- Product Cocktail: Generous application of leave in conditioner and curling custard.
- Shaping: Finger coiling ringlets and scrunching to encourage formation.
- Micro Plopping: Use of microfiber towels to remove water without causing frizz.
- Diffuse Drying: Low heat, low airflow drying (30 to 45 mins) to set curls without disturbing the pattern.
Wash, Blow-Dry & Heat Styling
Wash & Prep
- Deep Cleanse: Double shampoo to remove city grime and oil buildup.
- Conditioning: Lightweight conditioner applied only to ends to preserve root volume.
Base Styling
- Root Lift: Application of volumizing mousse or lift spray.
