About Intricate Back-Hand Designs
My back-hand designs are built on symmetry and precision. When I create a jaali or net pattern, I pay close attention to the spacing so the henna stain develops evenly and leaves a clean, sharp look that does not bleed into the surrounding floral vines.
Back-hand mehandi often gets less attention than the palms, but it is actually what guests and photographers see first. I focus on creating a balance between dense, full-coverage patterns and delicate negative space so your henna looks sharp in photos.
My signature style involves precise jaali or net work, which requires a steady hand and consistent pressure. I use 100% natural henna paste for these intricate lines to ensure they do not spread or lose definition. Whether you want a heavy, traditional bridal look that extends to the forearm or a lighter, flowing floral trail, I map the design to suit your hand shape.
I also specialize in incorporating personalized elements into back-hand designs. If you want to hide your partner's initials or a wedding hashtag within the floral vines, let me know during our consultation. Because these designs are highly detailed, they typically take 3 to 4 hours for the back-hand area alone. I recommend keeping your hands still for at least an hour after application to let the top layer of the henna set properly before the lemon-sugar sealant spray is applied.
