Modern Etiquette & Social Coaching
I believe etiquette isn't about rigid rules, but about genuine empathy. Whether you're navigating a formal dinner or a sensitive social moment, let's make it feel natural, not stiff.
I believe true etiquette isn't about rigid rules, but about simple kindness. Here's a short thought from Anton Chekhov that perfectly captures my philosophy on how we should treat one another with grace and empathy.
Dining etiquette can feel complicated, but it doesn't have to be. I discuss how to approach different cuisines and cultural customs, including why I proudly eat my masala dosa with my hands, and how to be a more considerate host.
We've all been at a party where someone is being pressured to drink or dance. I share my thoughts on navigating these social situations with respect and why letting people enjoy themselves on their own terms is the key to a great get together.
Based on my own recent experiences, I wanted to talk about how we can show support in sensitive places like hospitals. Sometimes, the kindest thing we can do is offer a quiet smile instead of asking questions.
About Featured
When I teach dining etiquette, I don't start with which fork to use for salad. I start by telling you it’s perfectly fine to eat your masala dosa with your hands if that’s how you enjoy it. My coaching is about knowing the rules well enough to break them gracefully, not about following a checklist that makes you feel anxious.
I approach etiquette as a form of social intelligence and kindness. Whether you are prepping for a high-stakes business dinner or trying to navigate a sensitive gathering, the goal is to make everyone around you feel at ease, not to show off who knows the most rules.
My Approach to Coaching
I offer two distinct ways to work together:
-
Virtual Social Etiquette: These 60-minute video sessions focus on your conversational flow, reading the room, and managing awkward social dynamics. We strip away the theory and work on practical, real-world strategies for conversation starters and graceful exits.
-
Practical Dining & Deportment: Held in-person here in Bengaluru, this is hands-on. We cover everything from mastering Western cutlery to enjoying a traditional meal with your hands with absolute dignity. I provide real-time feedback on your posture, body language, and hosting skills.
Why it Matters
Etiquette shouldn't make people feel inferior. It should be the tool that helps you own your space. If you're stressed about upcoming social commitments, handling peer pressure, or simply want to carry yourself with more ease in any setting, let's talk about a plan that fits your specific personality and goals.
