My Featured Makeup Work: Editorial, Commercial & Beauty
A look at my creative process. From bold editorial statements to clean, camera-ready skin, this is how I blend makeup with a photographer's vision.
For this high-fashion beauty shoot, I created a sharp, purple graphic wing liner. The focus was on creating a clean, impactful look with flawless skin to make the eyes the central feature.
This look was about creating a powerful, sun-kissed glow on deep skin tones. I used warm, earthy tones and a pop of green on the eyes, paired with glossy lips for a vibrant editorial feel.
A polished and glamorous makeup look created for an ethnic wear catalogue. I focused on defined eyes, softly contoured cheeks, and a neutral lip to complement the intricate outfit without overpowering it.
This is my signature 'no-makeup' makeup look. The key is creating a luminous, healthy skin finish that looks completely natural on camera, perfect for clean beauty campaigns and e-commerce.
Creating a dramatic, moody look for a conceptual editorial shoot. I used deep, smoky eyes and a bold red floral accessory to build a vintage, painterly aesthetic with creative lighting.

Before I pick up a brush, I always look at the lighting setup. A lot of makeup artists focus only on the face, but I focus on the camera. If it is a harsh studio strobe, I use specific bases to prevent flashback. This is how we get those clean, sharp photos without needing extra editing later.
My approach is simple: the makeup has to serve the shoot. Whether it is a high-fashion editorial for a magazine or a clean catalogue look for a clothing brand, the makeup needs to handle the lens, not just look good in the mirror.
Why my approach works
- Lighting-First Application: I coordinate with the photographer and the light setup before applying anything. This helps me decide if we need a matte finish to cut reflection or a dewy look to catch the light.
- Kit Essentials: I rely on workhorse products like Kryolan TV Paint Sticks and MAC Studio Fix. These aren't just for weddings; they are essential for long studio hours under hot lights.
- Versatility: I switch between styles constantly. One day I am doing graphic, avant-garde liners for a fashion shoot, and the next I am stripping everything back to a 'no-makeup' look for an e-commerce campaign.
Travel and Collaboration
I am based in Mumbai, but my work takes me all over India. Whether you are shooting in Delhi, Goa, or anywhere else, I am ready to travel. My process is built on teamwork. I communicate with the hair stylists and the brand team on set to ensure everyone is on the same page. If the project excites me, I make it happen, no matter the location.
