The Emerald Soirée: Opulent Wedding Decor
A masterclass in emerald velvet and gold. We turned this venue into a verdant, immersive escape, blending regal opulence with timeless floral artistry.
The entrance was a grand statement of emerald velvet. I created a tunnel of rich green fabric, leading guests through a path lined with opulent white and gold floral arrangements, setting a tone of pure luxury.
The hall was a breathtaking spectacle of green and gold. I designed large, circular ceiling installations in emerald green, from which hung a forest of crystal tassels, floral arrangements, and magnificent chandeliers.
The stage was designed to be both grand and elegant, featuring a massive, glittering backdrop with the couple's monogram. The lighting and overhead installations created a truly cinematic focal point for the evening.
I designed intimate lounge areas with classic white sofas and emerald green chandeliers. These spaces, framed by elegant white arches and velvet drapes, offered guests a luxurious retreat within the larger celebration.

Details matter. Vintage-inspired decor pieces like these copper-toned lanterns and a classic gramophone were placed throughout the venue to add character and a sense of timelessness.
About The Emerald Soirée
Executing a theme as rich as The Emerald Soirée requires precision in venue rigging. Because we use dense velvet draping and heavy crystal chandelier installations, we typically require 24 hours of uninterrupted access to the site for safety and aesthetic perfection. This timeline allows us to manage the weight load of our ceiling installations and ensure the emerald draping hangs flawlessly.
The Emerald Soirée was designed as a direct study in contrast and texture. To achieve this look, we utilized emerald green velvet, which serves a dual purpose: it absorbs harsh venue lighting to create intimacy and provides a dramatic, tactile backdrop for the gold accents.
Materiality and Lighting
The atmosphere relies heavily on light play. We installed custom circular ceiling structures that acted as anchors for crystal tassels and cascading florals. By combining warm ambient par-can lighting with the reflection from brass urlis and ornate lanterns, we transformed the cavernous NSCI Dome into a series of smaller, private lounge pockets.
Floral Artistry
For this event, the floral density was intentionally high. We moved away from sparse arrangements, opting instead for heavy headers of fresh Tuberoses, Orchids, and lush white roses. These were integrated directly into the emerald velvet pillars and arches, blurring the line between architecture and garden.
Key Elements of the Design
- Color Palette: Deep emerald, metallic gold, and pristine white.
- Furniture: We opted for plush velvet sofas and white-washed period chairs to break up the color intensity.
- Rigging: The overhead chandelier forest required specialized trussing to ensure both structural safety and a clean visual line from the entrance to the main stage.
