About Behind The Scenes: The Art of Coloring
It is not just about applying color. Whether I am using a freehand balayage or precision foiling, the goal is always to protect your hair’s health. I do not just 'paint' hair; I look at your roots, hair texture, and how the color will grow out over 8 months so you do not need constant touch-ups. When you see me in these clips, I am usually deciding exactly how much product to use so your hair stays strong and shiny, not fried.
You might see plenty of 'perfect' salon photos online, but real hair color is a technical process. Behind the chair, my team and I focus on the 'how' rather than just the 'wow'.
When we do a balayage or a global tint, it starts with a deep dive into your hair history. If you have done henna or box dye before, we need to know that so we don't mess up your hair texture during the lifting process.
The No-Bleach Mantra My main work is creating dimension without using high-level bleach that breaks your hair cuticle. I use freehand techniques and foil mapping to build color layer by layer. It takes patience. You will see me in the videos focusing on the sectioning—this is where the blend happens. If the sectioning is messy, the grow-out will be messy, and you will be back in my chair for touch-ups way sooner than you need to be.
Reality Check I am an artist, not a TikToker. Sometimes the salon gets loud, sometimes it gets crowded, and sometimes we have to have a tough conversation about what your hair can actually handle. If you come in with a picture of a 9-level bleach job from social media, I will tell you the truth: it is a trap for your hair health.
My job is to give you a look that grows out beautifully over the next few months. We use premium products, precise application, and proper toning to ensure you walk out with hair that feels as good as it looks. Whether it is a rich mocha brown or a subtle caramel, we build it to last.
