This is the first look at my work and philosophy. I've selected these visuals to give you a quick yet comprehensive feel for how I approach sustainable design, from the final serene living spaces to the innovative construction systems that make them possible.
As Seen In: Publications & Exhibitions
I am grateful to have my work and research recognized by leading design publications and platforms. This collection features articles and exhibition highlights that explore the stories and philosophies behind my projects.
Project Deep Dive: The Aangan Courtyard House
This project is a complete expression of my design principles, built on a challenging site above a food processing unit. The design is inward-facing, organized around a series of courtyards ('aangans') that create a private, tranquil home filled with light, air, and nature.
Innovation: Hybrid Timber & Seismic Design
My core research focuses on developing a hybrid timber construction system that is sustainable, scalable, and safe for earthquake-prone regions. This work adapts the traditional 'Assam type' house from Northeast India, using upcycled wood and modern engineering to create low-carbon buildings for the future.
Material Craft: Bamboo, Stone & Upcycled Elements
While timber is a key focus, my practice celebrates a wide palette of natural and sustainable materials. I have a deep appreciation for the versatility of bamboo, the honesty of locally sourced stone, and the potential of upcycled elements to bring history and character to a new space.
Design Process: From Concept to Blueprint
Every project begins with a deep understanding of the context, climate, and client's needs, which I translate into thoughtful architectural drawings. This collection offers a behind-the-scenes look at my design process, from initial concept sketches and renderings to detailed technical blueprints and sections.
