About The Signature Stain: My Guarantee

My henna is 100% natural and homemade, which means it develops its deepest color 24 to 48 hours after application. Unlike chemical-filled cones that give you an instant, artificial black tint, my paste needs you to keep it on for at least 6 to 8 hours. If you want that rich, dark maroon stain that lasts for your entire wedding week, you have to be patient and keep it away from water for the first day.

Many brides worry that their mehendi won't be dark enough. The market is flooded with chemical cones that give an instant, artificial black color, but those fade quickly and can be harsh on your skin.

My paste is different. It is handmade, using only natural henna powder and essential oils. It doesn't give you a result the moment you wash it off. It starts as a bright orange and deepens to a rich maroon or dark brown as it oxidizes in contact with your skin's warmth and air.

I tell all my brides: keep the mehendi on for at least 6 to 8 hours, or overnight if you can manage it. Avoid water for the first 12 hours after scraping it off. The lemon-sugar mixture I apply at the end seals the henna, keeping it moist so the dye continues to penetrate the skin. If you follow this routine, you will get that deep, regal color that makes for the perfect bridal photos.

I’ve been working with henna since 2009, and for me, it’s not just an art—it’s a sunnat and a blessing. I believe that if you put in the mehnat, the results will always show. Every cone I use is made by my own hands, because I won’t compromise on the quality that gives you that beautiful, dark stain.
