Writing is my breath. These snapshots show the books I lose myself in and the quiet moments where my own poems are born in Namma Bangalore.

My debut poetry book, 'HER', written for the feminine in all of us. Holding this in my hands was a dream come true. It's a collection of poems that are raw, honest, and deeply personal.

A highlighted page from my book 'HER'. This poem, 'Stuck In Transit', speaks to the feeling of being in-between, of being seen as a doll and then undressed by sight, waiting to reclaim your power as a Queen.

Another piece from 'HER'. This poem, 'Teach me', is a plea for freedom and empowerment, a desire to be reborn in a world that is free from constraints.

A timelapse of my writing process. Many have asked what I do when I'm not in the park. The answer is simple: I write. I spend most of my time with words, giving birth to the millions of stories living within me.

A moment of joy with one of my great inspirations, Rabindranath Tagore's 'Gitanjali'. This book is a modern gospel of self-discovery, and its poems cleanse the soul. Reading is as essential to me as writing.

Soaking in the sun and the words of Tagore. Reading 'Gitanjali' was a profound experience that expanded my perspective on my relationship with the divine. I highly recommend it to any seeker.

Another shot with 'Gitanjali', a book that feels like art in motion. Its words on life and death resonate so deeply with my own philosophy as a poet.

A post-workout pit-stop at my favorite place, a bookstore. This is my life here in Namma Bangalore, always surrounded by the possibility of discovering a new story, a new world.

A nostalgic photo from 2018 in a library. Being surrounded by old books feels like being surrounded by sleeping souls. Nostalgia is a tricky thing, sweet at first with a bitter aftertaste.

The same photo from 2018, a throwback to a time of discovery. Libraries and bookstores have always been my sanctuaries, places of quiet and infinite possibility.

About The Poet's Life: My World of Books & Writing

My writing does not happen in a vacuum. Every poem I pen, whether for a stranger at Cubbon Park or a commissioned piece, is fed by the books I read. When you see me with a copy of Gitanjali or 12 Rules for Life, you are seeing the fuel for my next set of verses.
