About Ethnic & Festive Wear
When shooting ethnic wear, the texture of the fabric and the shine of the jewelry are everything. I don't just take a photo, I set up the lighting to make sure those details pop. I direct your posing to capture the movement of the outfit, and then handle the retouching myself to keep skin looking clean and natural, not fake.
Ethnic wear photography requires a specific approach to lighting and color grading. If we are shooting a heavy bridal lehenga or a detailed saree, I use specific lighting setups to ensure the embroidery and fabric quality come through in the final file.
My process is straightforward. We start with a quick consultation to pick the right vibe—traditional, regal, or contemporary ethnic.
- In-Studio: I use 3-point lighting setups to bring out the depth in garments and accessories, perfect for designer lookbooks or model portfolios.
- Outdoor/Location: If we are shooting on location, I utilize natural light and golden hour times to add a soft, cinematic feel to the photos, especially for festive outfits.
After the shoot, the editing is where I make the final adjustments. I focus on color correction to match the mood of the clothing, blemish removal, and skin softening that retains texture. Whether you are a designer building a new catalog or an individual wanting a high-end festive portrait for your feed, the deliverable is always a clean, sharp, and high-resolution set of images ready for commercial or social use.
I shoot across Mumbai, from South Bombay architecture to studio sets. If you have a specific vision or a mood board, let's discuss how we can execute it.
