About this collection
Creating portraits on skin is not just about drawing. It requires a detailed consultation where we discuss the reference photo, the expression, and the story you want to preserve. Because I free-hand these designs using my own herbal henna, I treat each portrait as a unique piece of canvas art rather than a pre-set template.
Portrait mehndi is the most intimate service I offer. It goes beyond traditional floral or geometric patterns to capture specific emotions or people. Whether you want to honor a loved one, depict a spiritual figure like Shrinathji, or include a cherished pet, I work with you to translate those details into henna.
The Process
For portrait work, we start with a clear reference image. I analyze the composition to ensure it fits perfectly on your palm or wrist. This is not mass-produced art. I use my own homemade herbal paste, which means you get a deep, dark stain without any chemical risks.
Why it takes time
These designs are high-density, meaning they require a longer session to ensure the likeness is accurate. I recommend booking these sessions at least three weeks in advance so we have time to perfect the layout and design your unique story.
My Promise
I have created everything from intricate baby shower scenes featuring Yashoda and Krishna to heartfelt tributes like a bride’s pet dog. My goal is to ensure that while the henna eventually fades, the memory of the occasion remains distinct. I am happy to guide you on how to care for the design after the application to ensure the richest possible color.
Sonu
I am Sonu, and I believe mehndi is the art of telling stories on your skin. I love taking those special, fleeting moments—your love story, a tribute to a loved one, or a spiritual connection—and turning them into permanent memories. My herbal paste is mixed by me to ensure it is always safe and rich in color.
