Bring your most cherished connections to life on your hands. I specialize in detailed, hand-drawn portraits of family members and beloved pets, making them a central part of your wedding or engagement henna.

This collage shows a beautiful bridal mehndi featuring a portrait of the bride with her father, a symbol of his constant love and blessings. It’s a deeply emotional piece that I was honored to create.

A full view of the engagement mehndi I created in memory of a beloved pet. The design features a portrait of the bride and her dog, surrounded by intricate floral work and traditional peacock and elephant motifs.

The final, stained portrait of the bride and her dog, Bruno. The deep, rich color from my herbal henna paste brings out the shading and details, creating a lasting and beautiful tribute.

This image shows my creative process, using a photograph as a reference to sketch the portrait of the bride and her pet directly onto the skin with henna. It’s how I ensure the likeness and emotion are captured perfectly.

About this collection

When you choose a portrait design, I work directly from your reference photos to sketch the likeness onto your palm. Because these are not standard motifs, I need clear, high-resolution images of your family or pet beforehand. Capturing their expression requires patience and precision, so please reach out early to discuss the photo, lighting, and placement that will make your design stand out.

Creating a portrait in mehndi is quite different from traditional floral patterns. It requires distinct fine-line technique and shading to ensure the likeness is recognizable. My process begins long before the paste touches your skin, as we work together to select the perfect reference photo that captures the essence of your loved one.

The Portrait Process

For a portrait to look like your loved one, I use specialized fine-line application and 3D shading. Whether it is a tribute to a parent or a portrait of your pet like Bruno, the goal is to get the expression right. I work with my signature herbal henna, which provides the deep, dark stain needed to make these features pop against the skin for days after your event.

What You Need To Know

  • Photo Quality: Provide clear, high-resolution photos with good lighting. The more detail in the photo, the better the final result.
  • Placement: Portraits are best suited for the palms or inner forearms, where the skin is smoothest and the design lasts longest.
  • Time Investment: Because of the detail, these designs take longer than standard patterns. Expect a session of 6 to 8 hours for full arm coverage if we are including a portrait alongside traditional fillers.
  • The Stain: My organic herbal paste ensures the deep color that makes the details visible. It is my promise to you that the memory will be captured with the richness it deserves.

Whether it is a pet you love or a family member you want to honor, this art is about keeping that connection close during your special celebration.
