About Past Events & Announcements
These events aren't just lectures. When you attend a workshop at Garage House Academy, you're stepping into a space where theory meets the stage. We combine technical console training with live rap cyphers and after-party DJ sets, so you see exactly how the skills you learn in the morning apply to a real crowd by the evening.
My approach to teaching at Garage House Academy has always been simple: get behind the gear. I spent years in the pre-Facebook era learning the hard way, so I designed these workshops to cut through the fluff. Whether it is our FLYP 2.0 event or our collaborative sessions with the Insync Hiphop Project, the goal is consistent—building a community where artists can network, perform, and share industry insights.
We do not just talk about Pioneer CDJs or harmonic mixing. We create scenarios. You will see from our event archives that these are not isolated classroom sessions; they are full-day experiences often held at venues like Gola Sizzlers RDC. You get hands-on access to pro hardware, manual beatmatching drills, and most importantly, the chance to perform at our after-parties.
