- MNRF (Microneedling Radiofrequency): This is my go-to for deep scarring. While standard microneedling focuses on physical collagen induction, the added radiofrequency provides a heat-based tightening effect. It’s effective for deep acne scars where you need both volume restoration and surface tightening.
- Dermapen 4: We use this device to create precise micro-channels in the skin. It’s highly customizable, allowing me to adjust needle depth based on whether we are treating fine lines on the forehead or deeper pigmentation on the cheeks.
- PDRN (Salmon DNA): This is less about resurfacing and more about cellular repair. PDRN works by boosting collagen and elastin production at a biological level, which is why it is excellent for 'glass skin' therapy.
Essential Aftercare
These treatments trigger a repair response, which means your skin is vulnerable for the first few days. My strict rules for aftercare include:
- No Sweat: Avoid the gym, heavy workouts, or swimming for at least 48 hours to prevent infection.
- Sun Protection: Your skin will be sensitive to UV light; use a high-SPF sunscreen religiously.
- Topical Care: Use the prescribed antibiotic creams, like Fucibet, exactly as I advise to keep the treated area clean and aid the healing process.
