Custom Leather & Accessory Personalization by Quill on Paper
I turn your everyday leather wallets, bags, and accessories into one-of-a-kind keepsakes. Using elegant hot foiling and hand-painted calligraphy, I add that personal touch you have been looking for.

About Custom Leather & Accessory Personalization
The most important thing to know is that leather surfaces behave differently. Paint pen calligraphy works beautifully on textured or pebbled leather, like vanity cases or sunglass pouches, because the ink grips the surface well. If you have a smooth, flat wallet or diary, hot foiling is usually the better, more permanent choice for a sleek, metallic finish. If you are not sure which technique suits your specific item, send me a clear photo of the material and texture, and I will guide you on what works best.
When I personalize leather, my goal is to make it look like it was meant to be there all along. It is not just about writing a name, but about enhancing the object with care.
Why Hot Foiling is a Classic
For flat, structured items like hardbound diaries, luggage tags, or standard wallets, hot foiling is my go-to. I use a heated stylus to press metallic gold, silver, or rose gold foil directly into the material. This creates a debossed, permanent impression that will not fade or peel. Because this technique relies on heat and pressure, it works best on smooth surfaces. It is subtle, elegant, and perfect for professional gifts.
The Art of Hand-Painted Calligraphy
This is where I get to be a bit more creative. I use archival-quality paint markers for this process. Unlike foiling, this method is versatile. It works on curved surfaces like AirPod cases, lipstick tubes, or the textured leather of vanity cases. Every piece is hand-lettered and then finished with a specialized, heavy-duty sealant. This coating is crucial as it keeps the design from chipping or getting sticky when you use the item daily.
Getting the Best Results
I do not source the items myself, so you are always welcome to bring your own favorite pieces. Before I start, I always do a temperature or surface test on a small, hidden area of the leather. This safety step ensures the material reacts well to the paint or heat. If you are planning a bulk corporate order or a live event, please reach out with the number of items and the material type. I have customized everything from large canvas totes for retail launches to over 120 diaries for corporate events, and I am always happy to chat about what is technically possible.
