Featured Art Commissions and Handcrafted Decor
From intricate hand-embroidered tapestries to large-scale custom paintings, this is a look into my creative journey. Every piece is a slow, thoughtful process designed to bring your unique story to life on canvas or linen.
This is a close look at the soul of my work, where every single thread is placed with intention. This hand-embroidered tapestry, part of my Protagonist Series, showcases the incredible texture and detail that makes each piece a unique work of art, blending traditional techniques with a contemporary vision.
Art should live and breathe in your space. This commissioned triptych, a set of three monochrome paintings, was created for a young couple's paradise, their home bar. It shows how we can collaborate to create a statement piece that perfectly complements your interior design and personal style.
My heritage is my greatest inspiration. Here I am with a piece from my Heritage Collection, a modern interpretation of traditional Pichwai art. This hand-embroidered artwork, featuring the sacred Nandi, connects my roots in Rajasthan with my contemporary artistic practice.
A portrait is a timeless heirloom, a story captured forever. This hand-painted monochrome portrait was a gift from a husband to his wife, a celebration of their beautiful family. It took three months of dedicated work to get every smile just right, creating a piece now cherished in their California home.
I love working on a grand scale. Standing next to this 8-foot-tall commissioned panel gives you a sense of the immersive experience of creating and living with large-scale art. A piece this size doesn't just decorate a wall; it creates an entire atmosphere.
It was an honor to be selected as one of the Indian artists for the United Nations' 'SDGs Through Arts' initiative. I represented the goal of "Life Below Water" with this painting, using my art to contribute to a cause that is vital for our planet's future.
This is what I call painting with thread. This video shows the intricate details of a hand-embroidered horse tapestry from my Protagonist Series. You can see the layers of Zardozi, beadwork, and fine threads that come together to create a piece with incredible depth and life.
About this collection
When you commission a piece, we don't just talk about colours or size. We start by discussing the specific memory or emotion you want to capture, whether it is a family portrait or a heritage-inspired tapestry, ensuring the final artwork feels like it has always belonged in your space.
My process is rooted in patience. I believe that true art cannot be rushed, which is why a custom embroidery commission often takes three to six months to complete. I work with high-density Zardozi, silk threads, and beads on pure linen to create textures that you can actually feel.
For paintings, I move between vibrant abstracts and meaningful monochrome portraits. I often incorporate my Jain roots and Rajasthani heritage, reinterpreting motifs like Nandi or Pichwai for the modern home.
I have shipped my work everywhere, from local homes in Bangalore to private collections in California and Dubai. Every commission includes a virtual consultation to align on your vision, followed by updates as the piece evolves. Whether you need a 24-inch canvas or a 4-foot statement piece, I ensure the final work is finished with UV-protective varnish or archival glass and ready to hang. If you are looking for art that does more than just decorate a wall, let's talk about what we can create together.
Pragya Jain
I’m Pragya. I believe art should be a slow, meaningful conversation, not just a decoration. Whether I am painting a portrait for a family or stitching a Zardozi tapestry, my goal is to turn your memories into something you can hold onto for a lifetime.
