Commissioned Paintings That Tell Your Story

byPragya JainStudio in BengaluruView full gallery

I don't believe in art as a race. I believe in taking the time to listen, sketch, and paint a piece that truly feels like you. Whether it is a bold monochrome horse or a vibrant memory on canvas, let’s make something together.

There is something powerful about the contrast of black and white. This 48x48 inch monochrome horse painting brings a dynamic, graphic energy to the walls of this stunning, modern home.

"Sun Salutation" or Suryanamaskar. This vibrant 36x36 inch painting depicts an elephant in its best attempt at the yoga asana. The kaleidoscopic effect is created by hundreds of minute, hand-painted circles, a process that is backbreaking yet breathtaking.

A pop art tribute to one of the most beautiful women the world has seen, Audrey Hepburn. This video shows the process of building up the vibrant colors and bold lines that define this iconic style.

This commissioned panel stands 8 feet tall, almost double my height. The sheer scale of a larger canvas allows me to immerse myself completely, experiencing every pixel and every stroke I paint.

"Together," a tale of my family told on a vast canvas. This deeply personal piece represents eight cousins raised like sisters, a celebration of the powerful bonds of sisterhood and family.

A full view of the "Monochrome Horse" painting. The artwork combines abstract textures with the fragmented, geometric shapes of a horse, creating a piece that is both chaotic and controlled.

Galloping horses are a sign of liberation and freedom. This monochrome painting, with its wave-like patterns and silhouettes of horses, was commissioned to bring that inspiring and majestic energy into a home.

About this collection

We don't just jump into painting. We start with a conversation about your space and what you want the art to say. For larger statement pieces, I even provide a digital mockup superimposed on your wall photo, so you can see exactly how the colors and scale fit before I pick up the brush.

My Approach to Your Canvas

I treat every commission as a slow, thoughtful journey rather than a quick transaction. My studio in Bangalore is where these ideas take shape, whether you are looking for a vibrant abstract, a pop-art tribute, or a minimalist monochrome statement piece.

Customization and Process

  • Consultation & Visualization: For large statement canvases (up to 4ft x 6ft), we work through a digital preview phase. You send me a photo of your wall, and I create a mockup so you know exactly how the composition and colors sit in your space.
  • Materials & Longevity: I paint primarily with heavy-body acrylics on kiln-dried pine wood frames. Every piece is finished with a double coat of non-yellowing UV archival varnish, ensuring your art stays vibrant for years.
  • Ready to Hang: You won't need to hunt for a framer. All my work comes with D-rings and wiring pre-installed.

The 'Slow Art' Philosophy

My work often reinterprets Indian traditions—like Pichwai or local folklore—blending them into contemporary homes. If you want a piece that feels personal, perhaps a family portrait or a painting that captures a specific memory, I dedicate months to ensuring every stroke is right. My goal isn't just to fill a wall; it's to create a family heirloom that carries your energy.

I handle everything from the initial sketch to the final protective packaging, shipping across India and beyond, so your art arrives in perfect condition.

I’ve been finding stories in paint since 2005. I view every commission as a slow, thoughtful journey rather than a quick transaction, aiming to capture your memories and energy on canvas. My goal is to leave you with something you'll cherish as a family heirloom for years to come.
