About Golden Hour & Nature's Embrace
When we head outdoors for a maternity session, I always suggest aiming for the hour just before sunset when the light is at its softest. If the weather in Bangalore throws us a curveball, don't worry, as I have found that a little bit of overcast sky or even a gentle drizzle can add a beautiful, moody depth to your portraits that perfect sunshine simply cannot replicate.
My goal with outdoor sessions is to create a space where you feel completely at ease. Nature provides a perfect backdrop because it doesn't demand anything from you. We won't be doing stiff, awkward poses. Instead, I want you to walk, dance, or simply sit together while I document the authentic connection between you and your partner.
I often shoot in parks, by the lake, or in quiet fields around Bangalore. These environments allow for movement, which is essential for capturing images that feel full of life. If you feel a bit silly in front of the camera, tell me. We will pivot, find a rhythm that feels right for you, and keep the energy playful.
Whether you choose the standard digital session or opt for my hybrid film and digital package, the focus remains on the storytelling. Film photography, in particular, adds a tangible, vintage quality to these outdoor scenes, emphasizing the warmth of the golden hour. Please come dressed in what makes you feel comfortable—flowy dresses or simple, everyday clothes work best. We keep props to a minimum, as the beauty of the landscape and the emotion in your interaction are usually all we need to tell your story.
