About Navratri & Garba Galas
I do not just stand on stage and sing. My setlist is designed for momentum. I mix traditional Gujarati folk with high-energy Bollywood tracks to keep the floor moving for hours. I make it a point to jump off the stage, get into the crowd, and high-five the dancers, because that is where the real energy of Garba happens.
When you hire me for a Garba or Navratri night, you get more than just a singer. You get a performer who reads the room in real time. My band setup is flexible to match your venue requirements. For large-scale events, I bring a full 6-piece ensemble including Dhol, Octapad, and live percussion, which is essential for that heavy bass required for non-stop Dandiya and Sanedo.
I have performed for crowds over 15,000, but I bring the same level of engagement to corporate Garba nights and smaller alumni gatherings in places like Chembur or Matunga.
My approach to production:
- Sound & Tech: I work with a dedicated sound engineer to ensure the rhythm stays tight, whether we are playing traditional folk or modern fusion tracks.
- Traditional Aesthetics: My team and I wear traditional ethnic attire to fit the festival theme.
- Interactive Performance: I often invite audience members for 'crowd work' or Antakshari-style sing-alongs during short breaks to keep the energy high.
