I took this portrait of a young shepherd girl on a road in Hampi. Her direct gaze is so powerful. For me, an artistic individual portrait is about capturing the soul of the person and their connection to the world around them, using natural light to tell their story.
The golden light during sunset in Hampi is just magical. This frame, with the farmer and his animals in a vast green field, feels like a painting. It shows how I blend documentary photography with a fine art approach to create truly atmospheric images.

I do not do studio setups or fake posing. When we shoot, I want you to walk, talk, or just be yourself in a place like Cubbon Park. My camera is always with me to catch the real expression, not the one you practice in the mirror.
For me, photography is about the stuff in between the poses. Whether I am chasing the light in a Bangalore park or finding a portrait in the chaotic streets of Hampi, I look for the honest moment. I shoot everything on a Nikon D750 because it handles natural light better than anything else.
After the shoot, I take the time to hand-edit the images in Lightroom and Photoshop. I do not bulk process. I treat each frame like a painting, adding that fine art touch to bring out the emotion of the scene. If you are looking for stiff, formal portraits, we might not be a match. But if you want photos that feel like your real life, not a commercial, let us connect and create something raw.
