I specialize in capturing the high-energy, fast-paced nature of squash. Whether it is a competitive tournament or a private training drill, my lens focuses on the raw intensity of the sport.

A portrait of focus. Here is 24-year-old squash player Rahil Peris, his eyes locked on the ball. This shot captures the mental preparation that is just as important as physical skill.

About Squash: The Glass Court

Shooting inside a glass court is a technical nightmare if you do not nail your shutter speed. The ball moves faster than the eye, and if I do not use the right telephoto zoom, the glare on the glass ruins the frame. When I shoot squash, I am constantly adjusting for the lighting in your specific venue, so you get crisp action shots where the ball is actually visible and your form is perfectly clear, not a blurry mess.

Squash is a game of inches and split-second decisions. When I am on the court, my goal is to document the movement that happens between the points, not just the follow-through. I rely on high-speed Nikon gear to freeze the action, ensuring the sweat, the strain on the calf muscles, and the focus in your eyes are sharp.

The Technical Side of Court Sports

Unlike outdoor sports, squash courts present unique lighting challenges. Whether you are playing in a dimly lit club gym or a high-end tournament venue with stadium lights, I work with the environment. I use fast shutter speeds to prevent motion blur and telephoto lenses that allow me to get right into the action without crossing the line or interrupting your match.

Beyond the Scoreboard

My approach to sports photography is simple: if it is not telling a story, it is just a photo of a person holding a racket. I capture the camaraderie during doubles practice, the tension of a warm-up, and the specific determination of youth players like Samairah Bhandare and Abdus Samad. My coverage includes:

  • Individual Portfolios: Focused on your technique, balance, and the 'killer instinct' in your stance. Perfect for personal branding or sponsorship files.
  • Match Coverage: Full tournament documentation, from the first serve to the final handshake, capturing the energy of the crowd and the intensity of the play.
  • Practice Sessions: The behind-the-scenes reality of what it takes to perform at the National Games level.

Based in Greater Noida West and serving the Delhi NCR area, I am always ready to travel. If you have a tournament or a training camp, let's document the hustle.
