About Road Cycling: Team Goa

When I shoot road cycling, I don't just stand at the finish line. I get out on the course with the team to identify the pacing intervals and the specific technical maneuvers. This allows me to predict the aerodynamic tucks and the exact moments of exertion, ensuring I catch the raw effort of the ride rather than just a generic pass-by.

Gear is important, but for sports photography, technique is the real differentiator. I use telephoto zoom lenses on my Nikon D750 to get tight, compressed action shots while staying safely off the track. Road cycling is all about speed, so I maintain high shutter speeds to freeze the peloton in motion while keeping the cyclist sharp against a blurred background.

This series covers the Goan team’s training sessions, where the focus was on capturing the endurance of long-distance riding and the synchronization of the team. I document the entire process, from the initial warm-up and equipment checks to the intense intervals where the real training happens. Whether it is a solo portrait during a recovery stretch or documenting a high-speed sprint, my goal is to show the struggle behind the speed.

My event coverage process involves mapping the course beforehand to find the best angles for light and composition. I am available for training camp documentation, tournament coverage, and individual athlete portfolio shoots across Delhi and beyond. If you need a partner who understands the cadence of your sport and is willing to put in the hours on the road, let's talk about your next project.
