Behind-the-Scenes: Our Creative Process
We believe the process is as important as the final shot. Get a peek behind the curtain at what goes into our studio and location photography.
A behind-the-scenes look at a Haldi-themed beauty shoot. This reel shows the makeup artist at work and the studio setup with multiple lights, culminating in the vibrant and glowing final shots. It’s a great look at our collaborative process.
A quick timelapse showing the process of setting up a seamless paper backdrop in my Greater Noida West studio. This is the blank canvas where we begin to build the world for a photoshoot.
A shot of me, the artist behind the art, at work on location. Captured with a Nikon D750, this image gives you a glimpse of me in my element, finding the perfect angle for a shot.
This image demonstrates a simple but effective lighting technique. I used a single Godox flash bounced off the white ceiling to create soft, even light for this makeup artist's portrait, captured with a Sony 90mm macro lens for incredible sharpness.
About Behind The Scenes: The Making Of
Ever wonder what happens before the final image hits your feed? It is all about the prep, like running lighting tests with our Godox flashes or coordinating with makeup artists to get that perfect shade. We believe the work behind the lens is just as important as the result, and this is where we build the foundation for every shoot.
Photography is not just about pointing a camera and hoping for the best. In our Greater Noida West studio, we obsess over the details that make a standard shot look professional. Whether it is adjusting the 3-point lighting setup to highlight specific textures or ensuring the seamless paper backdrop is perfectly smooth, we treat the studio as a lab.
Our process usually begins with a pre-shoot moodboard consultation. We discuss the vibe, the wardrobe, and the technical requirements. If we are shooting a fashion editorial, we focus on equipment that delivers sharpness and depth, often switching between our Sony A7RII and Nikon bodies. If we are on location, we bring portable lighting to manage natural light, using fast primes to get that creamy background separation.
Collaboration is the heartbeat of what we do. We rarely shoot solo. By working closely with stylists and makeup artists, we ensure the concept comes to life before we even press the shutter. For us, the behind-the-scenes reality is messy, energetic, and highly calculated. If you are curious about how we set up a particular shot or want to know more about our gear and technique, reach out. We are always happy to talk shop.
Obviously, We Shoot
We are 'Obviously, We Shoot', a team that lives for the shot, whether it is a high-energy editorial or a quiet street moment. We geek out over gear and technique, but our real focus is making you feel something real through our lens.
