Representing India in National and International Tennis
From the Davis Cup to the Asian Games, we prepare players to wear the national colours with pride and play at the highest competitive level.
A proud moment for Indian tennis. I stand with our Asian Games silver medalists, Ramkumar Ramanathan and Saketh Myneni, after their hard-fought men's doubles final. This is the level of excellence we strive for at NTC.
The complete team behind our Asian Games success. I am pictured with the gold and silver medal-winning players and our dedicated support staff, celebrating a successful campaign for Team India.
Representing the nation is the ultimate honour. Here is the Indian Davis Cup team, which I had the privilege to lead as Captain and Coach, united before our historic tie against Pakistan in Islamabad.
A moment of great honour as our Indian tennis team and I present a memento racket to the Honourable Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji, celebrating the medals won at the Asian Games.
The future of Indian tennis. Our U-12 girls' team, coached by NTC's Asha Sharma, proudly holds the Indian flag at the Asia 12&U Team Competition Finals in Kazakhstan.
Victory for our young champions. NTC coach Asha Sharma and the Indian girls' team display their gold medals and the national flag after winning the South Asian U-12 Tennis Championship in Nepal.
Celebrating a golden achievement. The full Indian contingent, including the boys' and girls' teams and our NTC coach Asha Sharma, pose with their gold medals at the South Asian U-12 Championship.
The journey begins. Our NTC coach Asha Sharma with the Indian Under-12 team at the airport, ready to travel to Kazakhstan for a major international team competition.
Team India is ready to compete. Another shot of the U-12 team with their coaches, holding the flag high before their departure to represent the country in Kazakhstan.
All set for a historic challenge. As the National & Davis Cup Coach, I stand with the full team during a practice session before heading to Pakistan for the 2024 Davis Cup tie.
About Representing Team India
When playing for the national team, technical skill is only half the battle. Our preparation for events like the Davis Cup or Asian Games includes intensive strategy sessions and mental conditioning to handle the pressure of representing India on foreign soil, ensuring our players are ready for both the intensity of the match and the weight of expectations.
Representing the country requires a unique blend of discipline, tactical awareness, and mental resilience. At the National Tennis Centre (NTC), we do not just train players for points; we build athletes who are ready for the distinct demands of playing for India.
As the Davis Cup Captain and Coach, I approach every session with the reality of international tennis in mind. We analyse game footage, simulate high-pressure scenarios, and focus heavily on the physical endurance required for multi-day, multi-surface tournaments. Whether you are aiming for the junior national team or preparing for the transition to the ITF World Tennis Tour, the curriculum is designed to replicate the standard expected at the Asian Games or Davis Cup ties.
Our preparation pathway includes:
- Tactical Periodization: Aligning your training blocks with the tournament calendar to ensure you peak at the right time.
- Mental Toughness Drills: Specific exercises to maintain focus and composure when the stakes are at their highest.
- Match Simulation: Using our synthetic hard and clay courts to play out points that mimic the exact conditions of upcoming national and international ties.
- Direct Oversight: My team and I provide hands-on feedback during every session, ensuring that every stroke serves a strategic purpose.
If you are serious about wearing the national colours, you need a training environment that mimics the pressure and professional standards of the pro circuit. We focus on building a legacy, one player and one match at a time.

I am Zeeshan Ali, and I bring the same grit and strategy that I use as Davis Cup Captain right here to our court at R.K. Khanna Stadium. I am here to guide players who have the ambition to represent India, helping them develop the mental fortitude and tactical edge needed for the national circuit.
