About Marathi Wedding Traditions
We prioritize capturing your rituals as they happen, not pausing you for staged poses. From the specific hand gestures during the Kanyadaan to the fine weave of your Paithani saree, our team knows the sequence of a Marathi wedding perfectly, ensuring we never interrupt the flow of your traditions.
How We Cover Marathi Traditions
Photography for a Marathi wedding is about anticipation. We know when the Akshata will be showered and where to stand to capture the expression on the bride and groom's faces during the Varmala. Because we understand the rituals, we do not need to direct you constantly. We operate with a mix of candid photography and cinematic video to ensure the energy of the event is preserved.
Our Approach to Rituals
- Haldi & Pre-Wedding: We focus on the playful, uninhibited moments. We use portable LED lighting to brighten up the yellow and gold tones, making sure the Haldi shots look vibrant without washing out the skin tones.
- The Main Ceremony: During the Saptapadi and Kanyadaan, we switch to a more documentary style. We use silent shutters to remain unobtrusive during the most sacred parts of the ceremony.
- Portraits & Details: We make sure to take time for portraits of the bride in her traditional Nath and Mundavalya. We also capture macro shots of the jewellery and the groom's Pheta, ensuring these details are part of your final album.
Technical Details
We use full-frame mirrorless cameras which perform exceptionally well in the varied lighting conditions of wedding halls and outdoor mandaps. For video, we use lapel mics during vows and speeches to ensure clean audio. Whether your wedding is in Navi Mumbai or a destination across India, we bring our equipment and our experience with Marathi customs to give you a complete, chronological record of your day.
