My Wardrobe Philosophy

I treat my wardrobe as part of the tech rider. If we are doing a high-octane Bollywood medley for a reception, I am going with a sharp tuxedo or a bold velvet blazer. It commands the stage. If the vibe is a relaxed Mehndi or Haldi under the sun, I switch to vibrant, breathable kurtas with intricate detailing.

Why it Matters

It is about comfort meeting confidence. If I feel good in the outfit, I perform better, and that energy flows straight into the crowd. I’ve learned that when the performer looks like they belong at the party—and not just as someone hired to stand on stage—the guests are much more likely to drop their inhibitions and join the dance floor.

Getting the Look Right

• Cocktail/Reception: Think clean lines, monochrome tuxedos, and minimal accessories. It’s about keeping it sleek.
• Mehendi/Haldi: This is where I go for the 'Desi' aesthetic—bright colours, embroidered details, and a more casual, approachable swagger.
• Casual/After-Party: When the formalities end, I switch to urban street style. It keeps the transition from the show to the dance floor seamless.
