About Featured
My approach to these sessions is not about setting up stiff, artificial poses. Whether we are shooting an outdoor maternity portrait or covering a traditional baby shower ritual, I look for the moments that happen naturally when you are comfortable. If you see dramatic lighting in these images, it is there to highlight the connection between you, not to distract from the reality of the moment.
Photography, for me, is about memory. When I look at a frame, I am not looking for perfection in a dress or a backdrop. I am looking for the story. This cluster brings together the various facets of my work, from the intimate, quiet moments of a couple awaiting their child to the high-energy, tradition-filled laughter of a Godh Bharai ceremony.
The Blend of Styles
You will notice two distinct styles in this collection. The first is my editorial, cinematic style, often used for maternity and pre-wedding shoots. Here, I use professional off-camera lighting to create depth and drama. It feels like a movie set, but the interactions remain yours. The second is my candid approach, essential for rituals and events. During a Dohale Jevan or a wedding, I step back. I know the rituals, I understand the timing, and I wait for the genuine reactions—the joyful glances, the quiet touch of a hand—that you would otherwise miss.
Why the Variety?
I often work across Mumbai, from the beaches of Alibaug to private studios in Navi Mumbai. Each location and event requires a different approach. A studio shoot allows us to control the light and focus entirely on the couple, which is perfect for maternity portraits where comfort is key. Conversely, an event at a venue requires adaptability. I don't believe in dictating your day; I believe in documenting it accurately.
If you are worried about feeling awkward in front of a camera, know that my process is collaborative. We discuss outfits, locations, and the 'vibe' beforehand, so when the shoot day arrives, you are relaxed and ready. Whether you want an artistic pregnancy session or a full record of your baby shower, my goal is to give you photos that feel like real, lived-in memories.
