My Powai studio is fully equipped to welcome your entire family, including pets. You do not need to worry about your little ones or furry friends staying still. I focus on capturing the genuine chaos and quiet love of your growing family, not forcing perfect poses, so you can just be yourselves while I handle the rest.
Welcoming a new member is a transition for everyone, including your pets and older children. In my studio, we do not treat a family session like a stiff, formal event. We treat it like a playdate where the camera just happens to be present.
Why Pets and Siblings Are Essential
Your older children might be experiencing a mix of excitement and nerves, while your pet is likely sensing the change in the household atmosphere. Including them in your maternity portraits helps document this specific dynamic, the last chapter before life shifts gears. These are the moments you will want to look back on, like the way your toddler touches your bump or how your dog curls up beside you, already protective of the new addition.
Making it Stress-Free
I know the thought of managing a toddler and a pet during a photoshoot can feel overwhelming. My process is built around low-pressure, patient guidance. We build in breaks, let kids explore the studio space, and keep the environment calm so your pets feel secure rather than anxious. If your child needs a snack or your pup needs a quick walk around the studio, we pause. The goal is a gallery that feels like your real life, not a staged production.
Planning Your Session
- Bring Their Comfort Items: If your child has a favorite toy or your pet has a specific blanket, bring them. These items make them feel at home.
- Outfit Coordination: Focus on comfort. We want everyone to look cohesive without feeling like they are wearing costumes. Soft textures and neutral palettes often work best to keep the focus on your family connection.
- Timing: We schedule your session around nap times if possible, ensuring everyone is rested and happy when they arrive.
