About Bridal & Engagement Portraits
When you opt for a portrait design, we aren't just tracing patterns. We are sketching your story on your hands. Whether it is a specific couple pose, a divine figure like Radha-Krishna, or a skyline from your proposal spot, these designs require precision and patience. These are not generic stamps. They are hand-drawn illustrations, so I typically block out 6 to 9 hours for our session to ensure the detailing is flawless.
My approach to bridal and engagement mehndi is simple: it needs to feel like you. If you are tired of seeing the same designs on every bride, this is where I come in. I collaborate with you to include elements that actually matter, like the venue architecture, a logo, or a portrait that mimics your real-life dynamic.
Why Portrait Mehndi Takes Time
Unlike standard floral fillers, figures require careful shading and proportion.
- The Sketching Phase: We start with the figures. Because I am hand-drawing them to resemble you or your partner, I focus on the eyes, attire, and poses first.
- The Narrative: Once the figures are set, I weave your personal motifs—maybe a dhol, a kalash, or a specific quote—around them to balance the design.
- The Stain: I use only high-quality, triple-sifted organic henna. For bridal work, I include a lemon-sugar sealant and medical tape to ensure that deep, rich color development you want for your wedding day.
My Process
I am based in Navi Mumbai, but I travel across India for bridal bookings. If you are planning an engagement, I offer specialized portrait packages that focus on the palm and wrist, perfect for capturing that "We Said Yes" moment. For the main wedding day, I recommend the Signature Storytelling Package, which covers you from mid-calf to bicep. If you have a specific vision, let me know. I love a good challenge and am always looking to try something new. Let's make your mehndi a conversation starter.
