Our Community Crew: The Faces Behind the Rides
Meet the folks who swap late-night parties for quiet lanes. We are a community-led cycling group that values deep conversation over speed and new friendships over fitness goals.
The tribe is growing. Here are five of us after a great ride, including our first women attendees apart from the curator. We love seeing new faces join our Bangalore cycling group.
A quick selfie from a short and slow ride from CV Raman Nagar to New Thippasandra. It was great to have a first-timer join us and see a regular return after a long break.
A group shot from our impromptu ride to discover the history of the original Whitefield. We started as strangers and ended the night sharing stories and making plans for the next adventure.
A fun group selfie in front of a sculpture at RMZ Ecoworld. A planned ride to Indiranagar turned into an unexpected adventure to Bellandur, filled with laughter and exploration.
Five of us gathered for a midnight ride, catching up and getting to know first-time attendees. Our community is built on these conversations, making cycling feel nostalgic and new all at once.
Back in action after a short break. It just took two of us to get the wheels rolling again, exploring our usual circuit around Indiranagar and Defence Colony.
The three of us before our long ride to Vidhana Soudha. This ride had its challenges, but it also showed the strength of our community and the kindness of people in Bangalore.
A happy group selfie during our Christmas-themed ride. We met new friends, shared stories, and enjoyed the festive spirit of Indiranagar together.
When a planned 50km ride to Hoskote turned into a 25km ride to Madiwala after a small mishap. We always stick together, and the detour led to new discoveries and snacks at a friend's place.
Four of us after a ride through Indiranagar and Thippasandra. It's always great to see familiar faces and welcome new ones into our midnight cycling group.
About Our Community Crew
You won't find jerseys, aerodynamic gear, or speed targets here. Instead, you will meet folks like ISRO scientists, first-time riders, and old-school neighbors who just want to trade the day's stress for lemon tea and candid stories. We ride as a small, tight-knit cohort to keep the conversation flowing and to make sure no one is ever left behind, especially when the roads get a bit bumpy.
Our community is built on a simple premise: cycling should be nostalgic, conversational, and accessible. When we started, we weren't looking to create a sports club; we were looking to reclaim the city at night.
Who Rides With Us?
Our rides are a mix of people from all walks of life. Whether you are a local who knows every shortcut in Indiranagar or a transplant looking to find your footing, you will find a place here. We have seen our group grow from two friends to a revolving door of regulars and curious first-timers. Some attendees have even gone on to fix potholes or join other community initiatives after meeting on our rides.
The Ride Rituals
- Safety in Numbers: We prioritize small groups of 3 to 6 to navigate empty streets safely.
- The 'Cycle Stack': You will notice this recurring theme in our photos. It is our version of a group signature—a moment of pause to capture our collective presence in a quiet, lamp-lit corner of the city.
- The Pit Stops: We believe a ride is only as good as the tea we find at the end of it. Whether it is lemon chai, filter coffee, or a midnight ice cream run, these stops are where the real stories come out.
Join the Crew
We are strictly a BYOC (Bring Your Own Cycle) community. We don't provide rentals or mechanics, which means everyone who rides is responsible for their own gear and safety. But in return, you get a group that truly looks out for each other. If you are nervous about riding at night, know that you are not alone—most of our regular members started exactly where you are.
Midnight Cycling
We aren't a sports club, and we aren't a business. We are just friends who realised that Bengaluru is a different city once the sun goes down, but it feels lonely exploring it alone. We started this to make the night ours again, cycling slowly, laughing, and making sure that whether it is your first ride or your fiftieth, you have got someone to watch your back on the road.
