My three grandkids are my toughest critics, so I only use soft cotton and velvet yarn that is completely plastic-free. If a stitch is not perfect, I know it is just the handmade charm of my craft, not a factory flaw. Every piece is washable and made to be hugged, chewed on, or worn comfortably by your little one.
Handmade means it is safe for your baby. For newborns, I make rattles with smooth, natural wooden rings that are easy for tiny hands to grip. I use baby-safe cotton and velvet yarn, which means there are no harsh edges or tiny plastic parts that could be a hazard.
My crochet caps and booties are designed for babies up to 12 months. They are soft and breathable, as I never use scratchy wool. Since everything I make is washable, you do not have to worry about the inevitable spills or stains.
