Custom Bridal Mehendi with Portraits & Initials
I turn your love story into intricate henna art. Whether it's a hidden name, your engagement date, or a portrait of the couple, I work with you to sketch these special details into your bridal design.
Personalizing your bridal mehendi is my specialty. In this design, I incorporated the groom's name, 'Sunil', on one hand and a 'doli' (palanquin) on the other, telling a part of the wedding story.
A perfect example of engagement mehendi. The initials of the couple, 'S' and 'K', are the centerpiece of the design on the back of the hands, surrounded by intricate patterns.
For this engagement mehendi, I included both the couple's initials and a motif of intertwined rings. It's a symbolic and beautiful way to commemorate the occasion.
This video provides a close-up look at bride and groom portraiture in henna. Capturing these figures on the palms is a popular request for making bridal mehendi deeply personal.
About Custom Stories: Portraits & Initials
Before I pick up the henna cone, I sketch your custom portraits and motifs on paper. This helps us refine the layout of your initials or wedding scenes, so you see exactly how the design will look on your hands before we start the final application.
How I Create Your Custom Henna
Bridal mehendi is more than just patterns; it is a canvas for your wedding story. Whether you want a classic dulha-dulhan portrait framed in a royal jharokha or your fiancé's initials cleverly hidden within the jaali work, I handle the detailing with precision.
My Process
When you opt for the Royal Portrait package, we treat it as a collaborative art session. Since this style involves intricate storytelling—such as depicting the Baraat procession or your engagement date—I use triple-sifted organic henna. This consistency is essential to achieve the fine, sharp lines needed for human figures. The entire process takes between 6 to 8 hours, and I focus on ensuring the symmetry of the designs on both hands remains balanced.
Making It Personal
If you are unsure about what to include, we can sit down and look at symbols that resonate with your relationship. Maybe it is the place you first met, a shared hobby, or just traditional motifs like elephants and peacocks that symbolize your journey. I keep the application chill and comfortable because I know it is a long sitting. You walk away with a design that is not just a copy-paste from a catalogue, but a reflection of your own special day.
