Mehendi is a universal language, and my sketches are where I first write the stories. Here is a peek into how I map out your designs before they touch your skin.

A quick look at some of my floral practice sketches. I'm always trying out new ways to draw roses, lotuses, and other flowers to keep my designs fresh and unique.

A unique henna sketch inspired by the architecture of a monument, surrounded by lotuses. I love taking inspiration from the world around me to create one-of-a-kind designs.

Something a little different. I created this cute doll figure entirely out of henna, complete with a floral-patterned dress.

Mehendi can also be used for beautiful calligraphy. Here I've written the word "Ishq" (love) in Urdu script on the fingers, a simple but powerful statement.

Describing "Mehendi" in different languages, because for me, henna is a universal language of love. This video showcases a few different design styles.

Another one of my design sketches. Practicing on paper allows me to experiment with new patterns and combinations.

About My Creative Process & Sketches

Before the cone ever touches your skin, I spend time mapping out the flow of every design on paper. This practice stage is crucial, especially for custom architectural sketches or complex bridal motifs, as it allows me to perfect the symmetry and balance of your design before I start the real application.

For me, the magic of mehendi starts long before the wedding day. Whether it is a bride asking for a sketch of her favorite monument or someone wanting a unique floral trail, I love the process of turning an idea into a tangible design.

Why I Sketch

Practice is where I perfect my craft. By sketching on paper, I can experiment with new floral combinations, check how different Arabic vine patterns flow, and test the scale of a mandala without any pressure. This process helps me refine the negative space in my Arabic designs and ensures that dense, traditional Indian patterns look balanced and intentional on your hands.

Customization Beyond Patterns

My creative process is centered on your vision. If you have a specific idea, such as incorporating a name, a date, or even a drawing of a place that holds significance to you, I prefer to sketch it out first. This ensures that the final henna application captures exactly what you wanted. I specialize in:

  • Architectural Sketches: Turning buildings or monuments into intricate henna art.
  • Calligraphy: Integrating names or meaningful words like 'Ishq' into your design.
  • Floral Fusion: Mixing Indian roses and lotuses with Arabic bold lines.

I only use 100% natural, chemical-free henna for all my work. This is not just for the deep, rich stain that develops over 48 hours, but because I believe in the traditional roots of this art form. If you want a design that is truly yours and not just a copied pattern, let us start with a sketch.
