When we go for a portrait-heavy design, it’s not just about standard henna patterns. It’s a collaboration. My background as a portrait artist helps me capture actual features rather than generic bride-and-groom shapes.

What goes into the planning:

• Photo Selection: For palm portraits, clear, side-profile photos work best. We’ll pick these together during our consultation.
• Storytelling Elements: If you have a specific wedding date, a couple's hashtag, or even a skyline from where you met, I weave these into the forearm design. I use a fine-needle tip specifically for this to ensure the text is legible.
• Theme Integration: Whether it’s a Rajasthani theme with elephants and jharokhas (palace windows) or a modern minimalist layout, I adjust the density of the surrounding floral and paisley patterns to make the main story elements pop.

Practical Reality Check:

These designs are detailed and require patience. Depending on the complexity of your chosen theme, we are looking at 5 to 9 hours of application time. I use a homemade organic henna mix, so I’ll provide digital notes on aftercare to make sure you get that rich, dark stain that everyone wants. 💫
