Music is more than melody here—it is a language of learning. We create safe, joyful after-school spaces where children explore guitar and vocals to build confidence, focus, and creativity.

In our after-school program at Vidya Bal Bhawan, students learn expression through music. Sitting on the floor in a circle creates an intimate and collaborative setting for learning guitar and vocals.

"Training Voices for Brighter Futures." At the Yellow Streets Centre, our fellow leads a Hindustani Classical vocals session, teaching students to identify notes and climb the swar ladder, building focus and joy.

This is our after-school session at Yellow Streets. By creating a close-knit group, we foster a sense of community where students feel comfortable learning and practicing music together.

A fellow leads a vocal session at the "Cooperative Outreach of India" center. These after-school programs provide a crucial space for children to engage in creative activities and thoughtful discussions.

Surrounded by books at the Kitabein Bolti Hain library, children engage in a music session. We partner with community spaces to integrate music into different learning environments, opening hearts and minds.

A fellow plays guitar for a group of students in a community center. These sessions combine music with play and reflection, helping children grow in confidence, focus, and self-expression.

A fellow teaches the basics of sargam at the Yellow Streets center. Even in a simple setting, we see confidence bloom as hesitant voices grow into clear, bold ones.

About this collection

Our after-school music sessions are structured as collaborative circles rather than rigid classrooms, designed to help children find their own rhythm. We prioritize emotional safety, so your child isn't just practicing chords or scales—they are learning focus, patience, and how to express themselves confidently in a group setting.

At Manzil Mystics Foundation, we believe that music is a powerful tool for social and personal growth. Our after-school programs are designed to be accessible, creating nurturing environments where children can explore their potential through music.

What We Teach

Our curriculum blends Hindustani Classical vocals with contemporary instruments like the guitar and ukulele. We focus on:

  • Foundational Skills: Understanding rhythm (taal), melody (sur), and timing.
  • Creative Expression: Encouraging students to write their own songs and share their unique stories.
  • Social-Emotional Learning: Using music as a bridge to discuss teamwork, empathy, and leadership.

Why Our Approach Works

We operate on the principle that real learning blooms where hearts feel safe. By keeping our groups intimate and peer-supported, we see shy children transform into confident speakers and thinkers. Whether it is learning the basics of a sargam or mastering a guitar chord, the goal is always the same: to foster joy, curiosity, and a lifelong love for music. Our facilitators are trained not just to teach notes, but to lead as mentors, ensuring that every session is a space where children feel seen, heard, and valued. We partner with community centers across Delhi to ensure these classes remain inclusive and available to all who wish to learn.
