About After-School Music Hub: Find Your Voice
We run our music sessions in a traditional 'Baithak' style at our South Ex and Okhla studios, where everyone sits together in a circle on carpeted floors. This isn't just about comfort; it removes the barrier between teacher and student, creating a safe environment where a shy child feels comfortable enough to pick up a mic and sing.
Our after-school music hub is designed to be more than just a place to learn guitar or ukulele. We focus on social-emotional growth, integrating the basics of Hindustani classical vocals with modern songwriting techniques. Whether you are picking up an instrument for the first time or looking to refine your vocal range, our trained Fellows are here to mentor you, not just instruct you.
Each student attends four, 60-minute sessions every month in small, supportive groups of 5-10 people. This ensures you get enough personalized attention to actually progress. We believe in the power of the stage, which is why our curriculum is geared towards our quarterly 'Seekho Showcase.' This performance experience is where the real growth happens, turning nervous first-timers into confident performers.
We provide the instruments during class, so you don't need to bring your own to start. From building focus and discipline to fostering a deep sense of belonging, our programs are a pathway to becoming a young artist and changemaker in your community.
