Designer & Lookbook Makeup for Fashion Shoots
Every designer piece needs a face that tells its story. Whether you are planning a clean, minimal lookbook or a high-fashion editorial campaign, I create makeup that stays camera-ready under studio lights.
This video captures the beautiful movement of the gown and the complementary makeup. I created a soft glam look with a hint of blue on the eyes that looked stunning in the sun-drenched garden setting of this designer shoot.
A dreamy, elegant shot from a gown lookbook. The makeup features a soft, blended smokey eye and luminous skin, designed to give the model a romantic and ethereal appearance that matches the fairytale quality of the dress.
A closer look at the makeup for the blue gown shoot. You can see the subtle shimmer on the eyelids and the fresh, dewy skin finish, which was essential for this outdoor, natural light setting.
This pose highlights the harmony between the makeup and the elegant silhouette of the gown. The defined eyes and soft lip color ensure the model's face is a beautiful focal point without overpowering the fashion.

A full-length shot that shows how the complete look comes together. The makeup stands out even from a distance, defining the model's features and adding to the overall regal feel of the photograph.
For this designer shoot, the dramatic purple gown called for equally confident makeup. I created a sharp, defined eye look with a neutral lip to balance the vibrant color of the outfit.
A fairytale moment from a designer shoot featuring a stunning white gown. The makeup was kept fresh and luminous with a touch of sparkle on the eyes to create an angelic, romantic look perfect for the theme.
This shot from a lookbook session showcases a modern, chic makeup style. The focus is on a clean, sculpted face with a subtle graphic liner, paired with statement earrings to complement this purple designer gown.

About Designer & Lookbook Shoots
When we shoot for lookbooks, standard party makeup just does not work. I use specific HD bases that are flash-friendly, which means no white cast or flashback in your final photos. We focus on textures—whether that is a sharp graphic liner for a modern collection or a dewy, ethereal finish for a bridal gown line—that translate perfectly on camera without needing heavy retouching later.
My Approach to Designer Shoots
I treat every shoot like a creative experiment. When I collaborate with a designer or a brand, my job is to make sure the makeup doesn't just look good in person, but performs under the specific constraints of studio lighting and harsh camera flashes.
Why Technique Matters
Photography creates its own reality. For a lookbook, I focus on:
- Flash-Friendly Foundations: I avoid heavy, chalky products that reflect light incorrectly. My skin prep involves layering serums and toners to create a natural, dewy, or matte finish that catches the light exactly where we want it to.
- Definition & Texture: In a print or digital campaign, subtle details get lost. I work with sharp liners, precisely blended eyeshadows, and defined features that read clearly in high-resolution images.
- Experimental Elements: If a collection is avant-garde, I bring that to the face. From graphic liners and rhinestones to unconventional color palettes, I help build the visual story of the collection.
How We Collaborate
Every project starts with a conversation. Before the shoot date, we will discuss your mood board, the lighting setup, and the costume palette. I work closely with photographers and stylists to make sure the makeup is an extension of the garments, not a distraction from them.
Whether you are a model building a portfolio or a brand launching a new line, I provide consistent, reliable on-set support. This includes touch-ups for sweat control, managing fly-aways, and lipstick re-application throughout the shoot to ensure your final raw files are as clean as possible. If you need a look that defines your collection's aesthetic, let's talk.
