When I draw fan art, I am not just tracing a reference. I usually pick one detail, like a specific expression or a subtle costume tweak, and build the whole mood around it. Whether it is giving a Spidersona a local Bengaluru edge or adding gritty, noir lighting to a classic anime hero, my focus is on making the character feel like they belong in my illustrated world.
My approach to pop culture art is simple. I treat every character as if they exist in my own dimension. If you see me drawing someone like Toph from Avatar or Black Cat from Marvel, you will notice I play with the lighting and line work until it feels alive.
I work entirely on Procreate, and I am transparent about the process. For smaller pieces, we do a direct translation of your idea into a sketch. For fully rendered portraits, I follow a two-step approval process, starting with a rough sketch and moving to final colors, so you are involved without any corporate overhead. You get high-res JPEG or PNG files, perfect for social media avatars, personal prints, or digital wallpapers.
